Fleetwood Mac – The Chain

“The Chain” by Fleetwood Mac, who are a British-American celebrated arock band, who in the year 1977 released this very song from the studio album”Rumours.”

The look on Mick Fleetwood’s face when he’s playing is so real to me, it completely evokes the emotion that I feel too when I listen to this song.

However, the lyrics talk about betrayal, heartbreak and anger. Lines like “If you don’t love me now, you will never love me again” express the feeling of disappointment and hurt.

But even with all the hurt, there is something powerful that ties them together.

Also, the chorus, “And if you don’t love me now, you will never love me again. I can still hear you saying you would never break the chain,” shows that while they may fight and feel apart, they’re still connected to each other.
