Matt Maher - Lord, I Need You Meaning

This very morning, I woke with tears flowing down my cheeck. I reminiscence my past life, how God Has been faithful and how He’s been blessing me all through.

Fast forward now, it seems like the glory of the LORD has departed in me. I struggle to feed, go to word and even seed morning to my sick parents at home.

I cried and shouted to Jesus Chrrist like never before. But at the end, I consoled myself with the word of God that says “In trouble don’t be dismayed, I’m your God and I will never forsake you.”

Then I prayed and commit my day(s) and work unto the hands of the LORD, and move out the my house after taking my breakfast.

With that been said, “Lord, I Need You” by Matt Maher (an American talented singer and songwriter) is a simple but powerful prayer that says, “God, I can’t do life on my own, I need You.”

It’s all about recognizing that we depend on God for everything and that without Him, we are lost.

When you hear this song, you will agree with me that one of the main messages in this song is surrender.

It reminds us that we don’t have to rely on our own strength because God is always there to help us. The lyrics talk about how we need Him every moment of every day. No matter what we’re going through (good times or bad times) God is the one who keeps us going.

Another important message in this song is about grace and forgiveness. It acknowledges that we all make mistakes but God’s mercy is always there to cover us.

When we turn to Him, He forgives us and helps us get back on the right path. It’s a reminder that we don’t have to be perfect; we just have to trust in His love.

Also, it talks about temptation and weakness. Sometimes, we struggle with things in life such as doubts, fears or bad choices. But the lyrics remind us that when we stand on God’s word, He helps us overcome those struggles. When we feel weak, He makes us strong.

In summary, this song is a cry for help (like I did) but it’s also a declaration of trust.

It’s saying, “God, I can’t do this alone but I know You are with me. I need You to guide me, strengthen me and fill my heart with Your love.” Hallelujah!!!
